Summary
Airbnb Group trip feature simplifies the planning of group travel, by providing groups of travelers a single platform to manage all their travel communication and itinerary. Making it easier than ever to plan travel with others.
Research Method
When approching this project, I had to keep in mind the love/hate relationship users have with group travel. So keeping users in mind I followed these 5 steps to achieve the objective
User Interviews
I conducted interviews with individuals ages 25–35 who had within the past few months traveled in a group of 4 or more people. I was specifically interested in speaking with people who had participated in the decision making process and had some responsibility in making the travel arrangements.
Key Findings
Arranging group travel requires a lot of preplanning & communication between travelers
When planning a group trip, travelers tend to prebook activities
Individuals are often booking arrangements for themselves as well as other travelers
Pain Points
While traveling with a group keeping everyone on time and on schedule is difficult.
Travel specific email and text correspondence is getting lost within the travelers daily communication
Problem Statement
Travelers raveling in a group need a quick, easy and effective way to communicate & share travel related information with all members of the trip because planning travel with multiple travelers requires a lot of communication and group organization.

What I learned
Each phase of the project I felt that I learned something unexpected, something that offered greater insight into how to approach the functionality and design. In most of the project, UX designer focuses on one problem to solve but group trip cannot work if all the problems are not taken into consideration and there is always a room for improvement and enhancement.
in Future
I will continue to work on the UI and visual design elements that I could not work on due to the lack of time. I will work towards creating a product that provides a user-friendly and intuitive group travel collaboration tool that effectively simplifies the way travelers arrange to travel with others.
